Youth Conference

Dear friends, a few days ago, the first international youth conference of the Georgian Respiratory Association ended, which was a unique event in the history of the professional development of Georgian doctors: for the first time, an international forum was held, the organizers, speakers, and chairmen of the scientific session of which were doctors under the age of 40, both from Georgia and from 6 countries of the world (Serbia, Italy, Lithuania, Armenia, Turkey, Romania). This project, unexpectedly for us, turned out to be very successful. Despite all our efforts, we limited the number of delegates to 200 people, we had a final 264 registered delegates from all over Georgia, and almost all of them were sitting in the hall until the last minute. The scientific program, the conference space, the work of the entire staff of the Radisson Hotel, and the impeccable synchronization were also outstanding. So, overall, we held a very successful conference, which was noted by the delegates and the young speakers from all six countries. We would like to express our special gratitude to our golden sponsors - Sanofi and Avita, and to all the companies that supported us in organizing the first International Youth Conference in Batumi. Once again, we would like to express our gratitude to the Mayor of Batumi, Mr. Archil Chikovani, under whose patronage this conference was held, to the Minister of Health of Adjara, Ms. Nino Nizharadze, and to the Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University, Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, for their active support of the conference. We hope that the young organizers of the conference will hold similar meetings in the future, and on a larger scale.
